I'm a senior software engineer on the Java Infrastructure team, part of Developer Productivity at Stripe. We own the core Java infrastructure thousands of services are built on: the build system (Bazel), the IDEs we live in (IntelliJ and VS Code), and the mountain of tooling that ties it all together.
Lately that's meant paving the way from Java 17 to 25 and making language upgrades something teams barely have to think about. Call it upgrades as a service, across thousands of services. We wrote about it: Modern Java at Stripe.
After 15+ years in Java, I'm spending more of my time on people now. That means growing the engineers around me and scaling my impact through them, not just the code I write.
Software is the day job, but it's a long-time hobby too, one that spills into a home lab and a public one (yep, this site).
Away from the keyboard I'm a husband and dad. I swim, run, lift, and listen to loud bass music to reset.
I cook, keep learning, eat baked goods, and love being around people, especially my family.
